Matched pairs spend time doing whatever safe activities they would both enjoy, such as meeting for coffee or a meal, shopping, bowling, or attending a community event. Keeping in touch by phone or text also can be part of it.

Volunteers receive training and can choose their friend. Pairs are matched up based on shared interests, location, and other factors. After you meet your friend, staff provide ongoing support. Occasional group events give you a chance to spend time with other Compeer matches too.
