To connect adults living with mental health challenges with caring, trained volunteers for one-to-one friendships, thereby boosting self-esteem, easing isolation, and maximizing community integration.
We match community volunteers in one-to-one friendships with adults who are living with mental health challenges. We promote mental wellness through meaningful friendships and social activities.
Sharing activities and conversation with a supportive friend has been shown to help a person with a mental health diagnosis feel more positive and hopeful -- and less isolated. Friendships build confidence and boost self-esteem, both vital for someone on their road toward recovery. Getting out in the community for activities increases connections and enhances well-being.
