Description
LYT is seeking an Instructional Designer to develop educational materials, curriculum, and learning resources that support our mission of providing natural hair care education and empowerment resources for foster youth, adopted youth, transitioned youth, and neurodiverse communities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop curriculum, lesson plans, workshops, and educational resources.
- Create engaging learning materials, presentations, and training guides.
- Research best practices in education and instructional design.
- Review and improve learning content based on feedback.
- Collaborate with LYT leadership and program teams.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Attend volunteer meetings and provide project updates.
- Maintain organized educational resources and documentation.
- Support LYT programs, workshops, and community initiatives.
- Collaborate with other volunteers to advance organizational goals.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or related field.
- Experience creating curriculum, lesson plans, or training materials.
- Strong writing, organization, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and learning strategies.
- Passion for education, youth empowerment, and community impact.
