    Description

    Hospice Veteran Volunteer

We at Suite Living Hospice are looking for fellow Veterans to volunteer 2 hours a month with our Hospice Veterans to provide a special connection/bond that is needed at end-of-life. We have 4 veterans that are in need of fellow service members to connect with as they begin their transition. Are you able to provide a lending ear? Live in Dakota or Washington County?

Suite Living Hospice Care is providing hospice care within our assisted living facilities located throughout the Twin Cities. We are in the process of recruiting compassionate volunteers to provide support and companionship to our hospice patients.

Veteran hospice volunteers are a valuable resource for other Veterans at the end of life as they share similar experiences, a common language, cultural bond, and codes of conduct and honor. This allows for the perfect gateway to be opened between Veteran Volunteers and Veterans being cared for by hospice. A level of trust is established, which allows Veterans to feel more at ease with the various levels of care that the Veteran Volunteer offers.
