    Description

Are you looking for a flexible volunteer opportunity that includes compassion and kindness, serving hospice patients and their families with the greatest care and love? Then OSF Hospice of Rockford needs you! We have opportunities available for volunteers to work directly with patients and families, providing emotional support, companionship and socialization. Some needs might include sitting with patients while family members go to an appointment or run an errand, visiting patients in nursing home facilities when loved ones cannot, or helping with light household tasks. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator Pamela Ward-Carr, at Pamela.L.Ward-Carr@osfhealthcare.org, or give her a call at 815-381-6330. We'd love to hear from you! Once a background check is performed, a few other requirements need to be met and you are on your way to giving valuable, meaningful time to those on their end-of-life journey.
