Reflections On The River Community Event Volunteers

Description
Willamette Vital Health, a nonprofit supportive and hospice care provider, will be hosting the Reflections On The River free community grief event on Thursday, September 17th at the Salem River Front Park. We need volunteers to make this event possible for the community!!
The Reflections event gives everyone in our community a chance to celebrate, honor, and remember their loved ones. We will be at the Pavillion. The event will include a beautiful luminaria candle lit River Walk and labyrinth.
What we need now in July and August
- We need volunteers to help prep sand bags prior to the event. This tasks can be done at our office in West Salem or if you'd like to take supplies home and work from there, that is an option
- Help prepping bags of tealights for the event, same options to help at West Salem office or take home project
What we need day before event, Wednesday, September 16th
- we need help loading all the supplies into our UHAUL rental, approx time is early afternoon. Location is our office in West Salem
What we need day of event, September 17th
- 10 volunteers to help us set up our work stations. Shift is 1-3pm
- 50 day shift volunteers to help put together approx 4,000 candle and sand filled luminarias to line the pathways at the park. Shift is from 3-5pm or until done or as long as you can stay
- 30-40 evening shift volunteers to help tear down the event after it ends. Shift is approx 8:45pm-10
