    Finance Lead (Remote/Unpaid Volunteer

    Responsibilities:

    • Work as Lead to supervise and manage the Finance Team activities to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
    • Manage, oversee and supervise the finance team volunteers and activities.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide training, and foster a collaborative working environment.
    • Oversee general accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
    • Identify and implement improvements in financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
    • Collaborate with the IT Team, the Legal Team and other departments to enhance reporting capabilities.

    Qualifications

    • Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or other related fields.
    • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting roles, including team leadership.
    • Proficiency with financial software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
    • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
