Description
Hospice is seeking more male volunteers to offer companionship and support to male patients and veterans who feel most comfortable with another man. Training is provided, and even a small time commitment makes a meaningful difference.
What male volunteers often help with:
- Quiet companionship or conversation
- Life‑story sharing and legacy projects
- Sitting with veterans and fellow men
- Providing a calm presence during tough moments
- Light practical support or errands (when appropriate)
- Offering dignity and respect at end of life
No medical experience needed.
We provide full training, ongoing support, and flexible scheduling.
Even one hour a week can change someone’s experience of their final chapter.

- Steady, dependable, grounded presence
- Kindness, patience, and a listening ear
- Comfort with emotional or meaningful conversations
- Respectful and mature demeanor
