    Description

    Hospice Needs More Male Volunteers

Hospice is seeking more male volunteers to offer companionship and support to male patients and veterans who feel most comfortable with another man. Training is provided, and even a small time commitment makes a meaningful difference.

What male volunteers often help with:

    • Quiet companionship or conversation
    • Life‑story sharing and legacy projects
    • Sitting with veterans and fellow men
    • Providing a calm presence during tough moments
    • Light practical support or errands (when appropriate)
    • Offering dignity and respect at end of life

    No medical experience needed.

We provide full training, ongoing support, and flexible scheduling.

Even one hour a week can change someone’s experience of their final chapter.

    Qualities we’re looking for:

    • Steady, dependable, grounded presence
    • Kindness, patience, and a listening ear
    • Comfort with emotional or meaningful conversations
    • Respectful and mature demeanor
