    Description

Heart of Atlas Summer Volunteer Program – Mellab Morocco

Life in Mellab village is simple, authentic, and full of cultural exchange. Our volunteers stay close to local Amazigh families and help children in the community through fun and educational activities.

    The main activities are:

    • Helping children with English, games, sports, drawing, music, and simple workshops
    • Supporting our new school and nursery project for kids
    • Spending time with local families and discovering Amazigh culture
    • Helping with small community activities in the village

Volunteers usually help around 3 to 5 hours per day, mostly in the morning. The rest of the time you can relax, visit nearby villages, discover the desert area, or enjoy cultural activities.

No special experience is needed. We just ask volunteers to be respectful, positive, and open to living a real local experience.

During the summer, volunteers can also enjoy traditional Amazigh music, local celebrations, cooking classes, henna, and beautiful places near Merzouga and Tinghir.

Accommodation and meals are included. The experience is more about sharing, learning, and helping the local community in a natural and human way.
