    Live in Northern California and be able to travel to Santa Rosa. Must be 16 years old or older (those under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian fill out the application, and they must be accompanied during the volunteer onboarding process

    Help with puppy care at our Canine Health & Wellness Center!

    Do you have a passion for dogs? Support the start of the next generation of service dogs by volunteering at our new Canine Health & Wellness Center! As a Litter Sitter, you'll help ensure the wellness and care of our dog mommas and their adorable puppies, who will grow up to provide greater independence for people with disabilities. No Experience Necessary: We provide you with all the training & guidelines. Evening & weekend shifts available

    What You'll Do:

    • Puppy Care & Husbandry: Assist with providing overall wellness, care, and a clean environment for puppies from newborn up to eight weeks old.
    • Dog Momma Care & Husbandry: Assist with walking, grooming, cleaning and enrichment activities for our dog mommas. Assist with cleaning of key areas to help ensure optimal health & safety.
    • Wellness Monitoring: Work closely with our staff to monitor the health and wellness of our dog mommas and their litters.

    Requirements:

    • Must live in Northern California and be able to travel to Santa Rosa.
    • Ability to commit to one to four shifts per month. Shifts are 2 hrs. in length.
    • Must be 16 years old or older (those under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian fill out the application, and they must be accompanied during the volunteer onboarding process).
