    Description

Outreach & Systems Support Volunteer – The WayWesX17 Homeless Project

The Outreach & Systems Support Volunteer plays a vital role in The WayWesX17 Homeless Project, our mobility-based, year-round outreach model serving individuals living unsheltered across Tarrant County. Volunteers help deliver essential resources, support continuity casework, and strengthen our justice-rooted, grief-informed approach to care.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with mobile outreach, including preparing and distributing essentials (hygiene kits, water, seasonal items).
    • Support camp-based engagement by helping document needs, patterns, and follow-up priorities.
    • Help organize supplies, track inventory, and maintain readiness for weekly outreach.
    • Participate in dignity-centered interactions that honor each person’s story and survival.
    • Support data entry and systems tasks that strengthen continuity at 30/90/180 days.

    Qualifications:

    • Compassionate, reliable, and committed to justice-rooted care.
    • Comfortable engaging with unsheltered neighbors in a respectful, nonjudgmental manner.
    • Able to lift light to moderate items (optional accommodations available).
    • Open to learning WWX17’s Blueprint: Justice, Love, Legacy approach.

    Impact:

Volunteers help restore dignity, expand access, and strengthen long-term pathways toward stability for individuals navigating homelessness and structural abandonment. Your presence supports a decade-long movement rooted in memory, justice, and community care.
