PowerPoint Design Volunteer for Presentation Slides
250th U.S. Anniversary Presentation: Through the Eyes of the Enslaved
We are seeking a talented volunteer graphic designer to assist with the visual design of presentation slides for our upcoming event, Through the Eyes of the Enslaved, commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the United States through the perspectives and experiences of the enslaved.
Our team has already developed the presentation content and research. We are looking for someone with a strong eye for presentation design who can help transform the material into visually engaging, polished, and cohesive slides ahead of the event date.
Volunteer Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and formatting presentation slides in a visually compelling and professional way
- Creating a cohesive visual style throughout the presentation
- Incorporating historical imagery, typography, and layout design that aligns with the tone and significance of the subject matter
- Ensuring slides are clear, readable, and impactful for both virtual and live audiences
- Working collaboratively with the presentation team to make revisions and adjustments as needed
- Finalizing slide designs before the event deadline - June 30th
Preferred Skills:
- Experience designing presentations in PowerPoint, Canva, Google Slides, or similar platforms
- Strong visual design and layout skills
- Attention to detail and ability to organize large amounts of information clearly
- Ability to work within timelines and communicate effectively with the team
- Interest in history, storytelling, preservation, or community work is a plus
