About NHSBA
NHSBA is a growing national 501(c)(3) sports and youth-development organization using basketball to connect young people with athletics, mentorship, education, career development, life skills, and community opportunities.
About This Opportunity
This is a professional leadership opportunity within a growing national 501(c)(3) sports and youth-development organization. Positions are currently volunteer/unpaid while NHSBA develops its national funding base, with the goal of transitioning key leadership positions to compensated roles as funding becomes available.
Position Summary
The Director of Partnerships will lead national relationship development with corporations, foundations, professional sports organizations, colleges, universities, government agencies, nonprofits, schools, workforce organizations, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a national partnership strategy.
Identify and cultivate strategic partners.
Build relationships with executives and organizational leaders.
Develop partnership proposals and presentations.
Maintain a national partnership pipeline.
Coordinate partnership meetings and follow-up.
Develop sponsorship and activation opportunities.
Pursue venue, equipment, media, transportation, and service partners.
Develop college and university relationships.
Build professional sports and community partnerships.
Coordinate with the Director of Fundraising on sponsorship opportunities.
Coordinate with PIVOT USA on workforce-development partnerships.
Track partner commitments and deliverables.
Assist with renewals and long-term relationship development.
Ideal Candidate
Business-development, corporate-relations, nonprofit, sports, education, sales, or community-development professionals with strong networking and communication skills. Existing corporate, sports, education, or community relationships are a plus.
