    Description

    Hop, Skip, Spring event

Join Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation in helping with Hop, Skip, Spring!, a family-friendly indoor activity event at Veterans Memorial Indoor Ice Arena (2150 Jackson Ave.) Participants will walk around the arena (ice has been removed) and stop at stations along the way where volunteers will be dressed as woodland animals and lead a quick activity or movement challenge. Once participants complete the task, volunteers will give them a small prize before sending them along to the next station.

Volunteers may work individually or with a partner, and staff will assign stations and costumes at the beginning of the shift depending on the number of volunteers and groupings.

This opportunity is a great way to help create a welcoming and playful park experience for families while spending time outdoors.

    Volunteer Responsibilities

    • Assist with brief event setup
    • Dress in an assigned animal costume or themed outfit
    • Lead a short activity for participants at your station
    • Hand out small prizes to participants
    • Help create a fun and welcoming environment
    • Assist with event wrap-up and cleanup
