    Description

    Restore Hope Volunteer Experience Coordinator

Restore Hope is a small, volunteer-led nonprofit serving unhoused women in Washington DC and New York City through our Mentorship Program, online resource database, and community-building outreaches. Learn more about our work here. We are a faith-based organization but do not require specific beliefs from our volunteers or participants.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a volunteer to help develop and implement an official volunteer program at Restore Hope. The Volunteer Experience Coordinator will work with staff and other volunteer coordinators to assess and improve the volunteer experience across all of Restore Hope's programs. Essential duties include:

    • Ensure volunteer onboarding paperwork is filled out and data is entered and updated in Restore Hope Database (Training will be available; this is simple data entry via online forms and sending documents for signature using a template)
    • Establish a rhythm of regular volunteer communications including regular check ins, birthday cards/emails, and thank yous for volunteering
    • Plan and host volunteer gatherings and appreciation events (virtual and/or in person)
    • Coordinate with staff and other volunteers to share volunteer openings, including creating online postings where appropriate
    • Utilize surveys and other feedback methods to improve the Restore Hope volunteer experience
    • Identify a volunteer of the month to be highlighted on social media and our email newsletter

The role may evolve as the program takes shape. Prior experience working with volunteers is great but not required!
