    Description

    Volunteer Guardian

    Become a volunteer guardian for an elderly, incompetent individual in a Stark County Nursing home. No handling of money is required. Background check, training and monthly visits are required.

    We are in need of individuals willing to serve this often forgotten community. Our volunteers become a friend to the 'ward' and visit them at the nursing home. Guardians are the point of contact for the nursing home if any personal care issues arise. You are not expected to spend any of your own money. You are expected to be a 'voice' for the individual in the nursing home and look out for his or her best interests.
