Description
Position Requirements - The primary responsibilities include researching potential grants by creating an
organized matrix of grant information which identify potential funding for our non profit via grant
applications pertaining to BHRSC’s mission statement and goals. This includes creating requirements,
maintaining deadlines, amount of funding and contact information to ensure compliance by donors and
other regulatory agencies
- Previous grant writing and/or research required especially in non-profit fundraising
- Strong written & verbal communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and
persuasive proposals
- Experience with online fundraising grant research
- Detail oriented including editorial skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to work with a team of grant writers
- Ability to meet deadlines with a sense of urgency
- Prepare grant templates
- Communicate and maintain timely communication with the grant team and board of directors
- Understanding of BHRSC’s history and mission statement
- Compassionate about Basset Hounds and their welfare along with their community
- Check and respond to emails on a daily basis
