About: Children's Council of San Francisco believes in a San Francisco where every child is able to reach their full potential and thrive. By advocating for quality early care and education, empowering families with information and financial support, and building the capabilities of educators, we ensure that every child in San Francisco has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Description: City Kids Family Fair is a fun, family-friendly event that showcases many of the early care and education programs and services available to San Francisco families through Children’s Council and many other community organizations. This event features fun booths with free resources, giveaways, activities, entertainment and more! For more information, visit childrenscouncil.org/events/citykids/.
Date/Time when Volunteers are needed: Saturday, September 19th, from 8:30am-1:30pm.
Volunteer duties and responsibilities: can include helping with book/diaper/produce giveaway, kids play, prize table, stage assistance, vendor assistance, floater and breakdown. All volunteers will receive a Children’s Council t-shirt and bag lunch.
Location: 445 Church Street, San Francisco, CA 94114 (the Fair will be held outdoors in the parking lot)

Are there any special instructions - parking, clothing, ...? Street parking only. Public Transportation is highly recommended. Volunteers will be provided with a Children’s Council t-shirt to wear at the event. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, and dress according to the weather. This event is held outside; sun protection is highly recommended. A bag lunch is provided to all event volunteers. There will not be a place to store personal belongings, please do not bring valuables.

We highly encourage volunteers to take public transportation, as parking is limited in the neighborhood.
From 16th street Bart, head west up 16th street and make a left on Church Street. We are located at 445 Church Street.
From the J-Muni heading West to Balboa Park, get off at the 16th & Church train stop. We are located at 445 Church Street.
From the 22 bus outbound to Mission Bay, get off at the 16th & Church train stop. We are located at 445 Church Street.
