    About Us

    Born with almost no control over how—and with whom—they live their lives, women and girls in Rajasthan, India are finding ways to leap over barriers based on class, caste, and gender through the programs of the grassroots Indian organization Sambhali Trust. Our team at Sambhali U.S. is proud to support their efforts and honored to tell the stories of the women and girls of Sambhali.

    About the Role

    We are seeking several passionate volunteers to join our Communications Committee and help amplify Sambhali’s mission through storytelling, digital content, and internal communications. This is a great opportunity for creative writers, editors, and communications professionals who want to make a difference by raising awareness about women’s empowerment in India.

    Opportunities Available

    Content Writers

    Help us tell the stories of the women and girls of Rajasthan, India. We welcome your creativity and passion to help American audiences understand the barriers of caste, religion, class, and gender these women and girls face—and how they are thriving through programs run by Sambhali Trust. You will collaborate virtually with other writers and editors across the country.

    Responsibilities:

      • Suggest and draft content for newsletters, blogs, email communications, and social media.
      • Complete writing projects on time, following content requirements and style guidelines.
      • Conduct research on Rajasthan, India, and issues of women’s empowerment.

    Skills:

      • Excellent writing and communication skills.
      • Knowledge of India and/or women’s empowerment a plus (not required).
      • Familiarity with SEO best practices is helpful.
      • Passion for the mission of Sambhali U.S.
