📱 Volunteer Mobile App Developer (Apple & Android)

We are seeking a skilled Volunteer Mobile App Developer to help design, develop, and improve a Fitwize 4 Kids mobile application for iOS (Apple) and Android platforms. This app will support our mission of helping children and families engage in fitness, nutrition, education, and healthy lifestyle programs.

Volunteers will fulfill some of the following responsibilities, as needed:

• Assist in developing and maintaining a mobile application for iOS and Android
• Help translate program needs into user-friendly app features
• Collaborate with leadership and program staff to define app functionality and goals
• Design and implement features such as:
  • Program schedules and notifications
  • Fitness challenges and educational content
  • Event registration or updates
  • Parent communication tools
• Ensure the app is secure, scalable, and easy to use
• Test, debug, and improve app performance across devices
• Provide technical guidance and documentation as needed

Preferred Skills (not all required):

• Experience with Swift (iOS) and/or Kotlin (Android)
• OR cross-platform frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, or Expo
• Understanding of UI/UX best practices
• Experience integrating APIs, push notifications, and basic analytics
• Passion for mission-driven or nonprofit technology projects
