    Description

    About the Project

We are compiling a comprehensive financial literacy curriculum designed to empower individuals transitioning from crisis toward long-term independence. We are seeking a skilled writer to draft Module 1, which focuses on deconstructing the emotional weight of money and identifying how financial control operates.

    Assignment & Topic Areas

You will write a complete educational module (approx. 1,500–2,000 words) that includes the following subtopics and interactive elements:

    • Our Financial Origin Stories: Exploring how childhood environments, cultural backgrounds, and scarcity shape current spending and saving habits.
    • The Emotional Landscape of Money: Actionable guidance on overcoming money shame, guilt, avoidance, and anxiety.
    • Identifying Financial Abuse: Recognizing the signs of financial control, exploitation, and coerced debt. Validating that survival-driven financial choices are not personal financial failures.
    • Interactive Exercises: Design a Financial Red Flags Checklist outlining common behaviors of financial control (e.g., controlling account access, hiding assets, forced debt) alongside reflective worksheets.

    Desired Tone & Style

Empathetic, trauma-informed, and validating. The text must strip away the systemic shame associated with financial hardship and position financial survival as a strength.

    Qualifications

    • Solid writing and storytelling skills.
    • Background or understanding of trauma-informed care, psychology, domestic violence advocacy, or financial counseling.
    • Ability to create clear, actionable worksheets and checklist prompts.
