28th Annual Stand Down Event for Veterans - Volunteers needed

Description
The Manatee County Stand Down is a powerful community event that provides life-changing support to veterans and non-veterans who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of losing their housing. In one day, attendees can access critical services including healthcare, housing assistance, legal aid, employment resources, and more.
Volunteers are needed to help bring much needed services to Veterans in our community.
Event is held from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Volunteers are needed from 7:00 am 2:00 pm on event day, and 10:00 am -2:00pm on the day prior
Volunteer tasks and shifts will be assigned.

4 shifts available:
- Greet clients, client registration, provide directions: Saturday November 7, 2026 - 7:00AM to 11:00AM
- Check in volunteers, hand out t-shirts: Saturday November 7, 2026 - 7:00AM to 09:00AM
- Tear down, clean, load into vehicles: Saturday November 7, 2026- 12:00PM-2:00PM
- Set up the day before--set up chairs, tables, decorations: Friday November 6, 2026 10:00AM-2:00PM
