    Description

“From One Veteran to Another: Bringing Care”

Veteran Volunteers Needed for Hospice Patients

Are you a veteran looking to give back in a meaningful way? We are seeking veteran volunteers to support fellow veterans receiving hospice care. These patients deeply appreciate the unique bond and understanding that only a fellow service member can offer.

Many of our veteran patients enjoy:

    • Reminiscing on the porch
    • Sharing stories and camaraderie
    • Playing cards or poker
    • Small talk and companionship
    • Having someone read to them (some have vision impairments)

Just your presence can bring comfort, dignity, and even joy—helping them forget, if only for a while, the weight of their illness.

    Volunteer Requirements:

    • Background check
    • Drug screen
    • TB testing
    • Valid state-issued ID
    • Auto insurance (if you plan to drive)
    • 12 hours of annual education
    • A commitment of just 2 hours per month

You can make a powerful difference.

Imagine being the reason someone smiles today—someone who has served our country and is now in their final chapter.

Join us. Be there. Be a brother or sister in arms.

I look forward to hearing from you,

    Melissa Crouch
