    Description

Joint Family is a social initiative bringing generations together to learn, deliberate and respond to the societal impacts of emerging technologies through innovative, inclusive programs. In close collaboration with public libraries, youth organizations, elder care services and local foundations we bring cross-generational workshops focused on AI tools, misinformation, deep fake scams, algorithmic bias, workforce development, responsible use & social connection to communities across Greater Boston.

We’re looking for volunteers to help facilitate community sessions this winter (Dec 2025 - March 2026).

If you have basic to advanced knowledge of Generative AI, are familiar with new AI apps or trends, and enjoy connecting with people, we’d love to have you join. Good communication and listening skills are important; experience running workshops is a plus but not required.

Volunteers will receive training in facilitation methods, support materials, and have the chance to work with diverse audiences (eg. youth, older adults, technologists, educators, creative professionals). This is a great opportunity to:

    • Build experience in public speaking and community engagement
    • Meet others interested in technology, arts, and communication
    • Contribute to helping people make informed choices about AI use

Ideal for students completing volunteer hours, recent graduates interested in networking, early-career professionals curious about AI ethics, and anyone interested in thoughtful, open dialogue about technology and society.
