    Description

The Philadelphia VA Medical Center has a 100% virtual volunteer opportunity where you can help Veterans feel more connected. Join the VA's Compassionate Contact Corps. This program supports the VA goal of suicide prevention in Veterans.

Help our socially-isolated Veterans with a weekly phone call to check in with them, and provide a friendly conversation. These calls are not medical and do not involve home care duties. We will provide training, scripts and handbooks for your success.

We do require that volunteers have a quiet, private area where they can have these 1:1 conversations with the Veteran.

Will you consider joining us today?
