URGENT NEED! Move pre-built walls at our Oakland Warehouse
Details
Description
Volunteers needed for one day to move pre-built walls!
These frame walls were built by previous volunteers and will become part of the 19 townhomes we are building at Habitat's Esperanza Place development. It is time for these walls to officially become part of the houses on site!
Habitat construction staff and AmeriCorps members need your help to load these walls onto trucks to be transported to Walnut Creek. In between transports, there will be additional tasks available in the warehouse.
For safety reasons, all volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 must bring a signed Minor Waiver form with them to the site.
Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. We revitalize neighborhoods, build affordable and sustainable housing solutions, and empower families through successful homeownership. Since 1986, we have partnered with volunteers, the community, and qualified families with limited incomes to strengthen communities in Alameda, Contra Costa, and Santa Clara Counties.
Location
Habitat for Humanity EBSV Oakland Warehouse
Directions
This volunteer opportunity will be in the warehouse connected to the Oakland ReStore.
Volunteer parking is available in the lot adjacent to the warehouse and we recommend carpooling when possible.
Please do not park in the front of the complex. Those spots are allocated for our neighbors.
Volunteers should proceed past the initial parking area, drive down the driveway, and past the ReStore donation drop off. There is a parking lot available on the right-hand side. Please drive slowly, avoid all forklift ramps, and look for Habitat Workshop signage. Map
