    Director of Volunteer Engagement & Retention (Volunteer)

    Remote | Volunteer Leadership Position | 20–25 Hours Weekly

    About LoopRoots Foundation

    LoopRoots Foundation is a rapidly growing nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting justice-impacted individuals and families through transportation assistance, housing stabilization, workforce development, food access, wellness support, reentry services, and community-based programs.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a passionate and strategic Director of Volunteer Engagement & Retention to help build an exceptional volunteer experience across the organization.

    This individual will be responsible for developing volunteer engagement strategies, retention initiatives, recognition programs, professional development opportunities, and pathways that support long-term volunteer success and future employment opportunities within LoopRoots Foundation.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop volunteer recruitment and retention strategies
    • Create volunteer recognition and incentive programs
    • Design volunteer onboarding and orientation processes
    • Develop leadership development pathways
    • Create volunteer engagement surveys and feedback systems
    • Support volunteer training and professional development initiatives
    • Assist with volunteer policies and handbook development
    • Track retention metrics and organizational engagement
    • Collaborate with department leaders to improve volunteer experiences

    Qualifications

    • Experience in volunteer management, human resources, nonprofit leadership, employee engagement, training, organizational development, or related fields preferred
    • Strong communication and leadership skills
    • Passion for community impact and team development
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

    Future Employment Opportunity

    Outstanding volunteers may be considered for transition into paid employment beginning as early as October 2026 based on organizational growth, funding availability, performance, and organizational needs.
