    Description

    Computer Instructor Volunteer

    Overview: As a Computer Instructor Volunteer, you’ll empower library patrons by providing essential computer skills training. Your expertise will help individuals navigate both Mac and PC systems, as well as Android and iOS devices.

    Responsibilities:

    Teach Computer Basics: Conduct workshops on fundamental computer skills, including file management, internet browsing, and email usage.

    Software Training: Offer guidance on using common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite) for productivity and creativity.

    Device Assistance: Assist patrons with Mac, PC, Android, and iOS devices, addressing questions related to settings, apps, and troubleshooting.

    Customized Learning: Tailor instruction to patrons’ needs, whether they’re beginners or seeking advanced knowledge.

    Promote Digital Literacy: Encourage lifelong learning and confidence in technology use.

    Qualifications:

    Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with both Mac and PC operating systems, as well as Android and iOS platforms.

    Teaching Skills: Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt instruction to various learning styles.

    Patience and Empathy: A friendly and patient demeanor when assisting patrons of all ages.

    Reliability: Commitment to scheduled volunteer shifts.
