Details
Description
Dear Volunteer,
We are excited to invite you to join the Ebola Teaching Challenge, a global volunteer initiative led by World Merit to strengthen Ebola awareness and preparedness across communities.
This first phase of the challenge is being implemented in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya, Angola, Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Zambia, with France serving as the Francophone coordination hub.
As a volunteer, you will receive everything you need to succeed—including a ready-to-use facilitator guide, training, and teaching materials—to deliver an engaging 30-minute Ebola awareness session for children and young people in schools and communities. No previous public health experience is required.
By joining this initiative, you will:
- Help educate children and young people about Ebola prevention and preparedness.
- Combat misinformation with accurate, age-appropriate information.
- Join a network of volunteers working together to strengthen community resilience.
- Receive ongoing support from the World Merit team throughout the campaign.
- Record and showcase the impact of your work through the World Merit platform.
We look forward to working closely with volunteers across the participating countries to create meaningful local impact. Together, we can educate communities, combat misinformation, and strengthen Ebola preparedness.
