Description
The League of Women Voters of San Francisco (LWVSF) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to defending democracy.
We are currently looking for a Legislative Interviews Lead to help coordinate interviewing elected officials about their work and priorities, and to produce an edited version of the interviews suitable for our website. The interviews occur in January, and so coordinating the scheduling of the interviews starts two months before, and getting the text ready for the website can go into February or March. This is a leadership role that can lead to a board position.
Helpful skills a suitable volunteer might have include:
- email coordination, including scheduling and rescheduling busy elected officials
- volunteer management, so that members of our League have the chance to meet elected officials by volunteering to ask interview questions
- copy editing, to make the interview content concise for our website
- project management, to coordinate with our Communications Committee to get the content ready for publishing
Much of this work can be done remotely. Join Us!
