    Description

At Gentiva Hospice, we believe every patient is on a journey filled with challenges and uncertainty – and when they face life-limiting illnesses, we are honored to walk beside them – to comfort the hearts, minds, and bodies of those in need and offer compassion at every step. It is our privilege. It is our mission. If you have a natural gift for empathy and want to make a difference, we can help you be a force for good in the lives of our patients and their loved ones.

No medical training? No problem! To become a volunteer, all you need is a compassionate heart. Our volunteer training will teach you everything you need to know to be a companion for someone during their end-of-life journey. You’ll learn valuable skills in grief counseling, spiritual and emotional support, and end-of-life care.

Need flexibility? No problem! In most cases you can choose when and how long you volunteer.
