Description
Meet Blanca! She is a vibrant 17-year-old from Spain with dreams of becoming a doctor. She can’t wait to join a high school cheerleading squad and share her love for Spanish cooking with an American family. Because she is going into the 12th grade, this will be her last chance to experience an exchange year!
We are looking for a host family to welcome Blanca into their home as a member of the family. Whether you have kids, are empty nesters, or are a single-parent household, what matters most is your heart for cultural exchange.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming home environment.
- Provide three meals a day (student has their own spending money for eating out).
- Treat the student as a member of the family, not a guest.
- Help the student integrate into the local community and high school.
- Volunteer opportunity (no stipend is provided)
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 25 years old.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Have a spare bedroom (students can share a room with a host sibling of the same gender and similar age).
- A heart for cultural exchange and supporting a young person's dreams!
