Special Olympics Athlete Mentor - Lackawanna

Help a Special Olympics athlete grow and develop leadership skills! We have an athlete who is interested in participating in our leadership course, but is in need of a mentor to help guide and support him. This athlete is in Lackawanna county.

As a mentor, you would connect virtually with the athlete that you are matched with to help support speech writing and speech giving, as well as talk through ideas. You would attend one in-person training with the athlete which will help prepare him for public speaking. Occasionally, you may be asked to accompany the athlete on local public speaking opportunities.
