Title of Volunteer Assignment: Morning Shift Boxes
- Scoop litter boxes and dispose of waste. Wipe out cages and sweep under beds.
- Ensure all water bowls are clean/dirty water replaced. Make sure there is some dry food in bowls.
- Pet kitties and hangout with the ones that need more socialization.
Basic volunteer qualifications involved with this assignment: Must be able to bend and pickup litter boxes Must have general understanding of feline behavior signals Must keep a calm disposition when working with fearful animals (quiet voice, no sudden, rash movements)
Who will be served by this assignment? The Cats!
What is the anticipated benefit of this volunteer service to those receiving the service? This ensures a cleaner, healthier environment for the cats in the care of Feline Number Nine Rescue and will aid in the sanitary condition of the animals. This prevents illness which is imperative! It also creates a more welcoming atmosphere for people wanting to visit/adopt.
What specific skills will the volunteer need? Must be able to lift litter boxes
