Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator will receive all volunteer applications and create a spreadsheet with all the basic information and track the events that they assist with. The Volunteer Coordinator will also create an email list of volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator will make sure that all volunteers on the Facebook page have active volunteer application. The Volunteer Coordinator will assist the Fundraising Coordinator by recruiting volunteers for specific events and recruit new volunteers through means such as Volunteer Match, Volunteers fairs etc. The Volunteer Coordinator will also find ways to keep current volunteers engaged. The Volunteer Coordinator will publish a quarterly newsletter and arrange quarterly social events for volunteers to meet. Volunteer Coordinator will create a SignUp for ALL events needing volunteers, this incudes work done in the storage unit, garage or team building events. This will ensure that we track volunteer hours. Volunteer Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director. VP of Volunteer Management will be responsible for volunteer recruitment and retention. The VP will also be responsible for providing clear expectations to the volunteers regarding their role. Understanding and leveraging experience of the volunteer and directing them to various options. The VM will develop a program for volunteer recognition. Maintaining volunteer connections through direct contact, o-going support and general communications is a must.
