Bring Music into the Life of a Hospice Patient (Philadelphia, PA)

Hospice Compassus is looking for musical volunteers who are able to play musical instruments and/ or sing for hospice patients living at home, in the hospital or in long-term care facilities.

We have found sometimes what a hospice patient needs in the most way to express their feelings without talking. The volunteer playing or singing their favorite song or hymns, Compassus music volunteers help patients and families reconnect with feelings and memories that can bring about a sense of of peace of happiness.

Hospice Compassus provides training on how to work with people at the end of life. The volunteer provides the talent on how to work with people at the end of life. The volunteer provides the talent, compassion and time. The assignments are made according to the volunteer's time and location.
