    Description

Volunteering is a great way for couples to spend quality time together. If you and your honey love cooking together and want to do something sweet that helps others, join our team! Food is always better when it's made with love.

Once approved to volunteer, scheduling is VERY flexible. You can volunteer as frequently or sporadically as your schedule allows.

    Meals Times

    • Breakfast: Served at 8:30 am
    • Lunch: Served at 12 pm
    • Dinner: Served at 5:30 pm

Shift length is flexible and depends on what you want to do and how much time you have to share. Meals are served for a full hour and volunteers should expect about 30 minutes of clean up time after meals have ended. Volunteer shifts include weekdays and weekends so there are lots of scheduling options available.

    How to get started

Register online to join our volunteer team- http://bit.ly/VSregNW

If you prefer a paper registration, please email meganed@ccsww.org or call 253-365-4111 to request a copy with a pre-stamped return envelope.

Once your volunteer registration has been received, our volunteer coordinator will contact you and start processing your background check. We may request your assistance getting in touch with references to speed the process . Our coordinator will need two references to proceed to orientation. Once officially approved, you'll be invited to attend orientation in-person or via Teams.

    Basic Requirements

    • Anyone serving onsite MUST be at least 18 years old
    • Volunteers must pass a background check (Washington State Patrol and the National Sex Offender Public Website). If you've lived in Washington State less than 3 years we may need to run a background check through Sterling Talent Solutions. You will get a copy of the results.
    • Volunteers working with food are required to wear gloves for food safety purposes.
    • Food handler cards are not required but are appreciated.

    Health & safety post-pandemic:

We will NEVER ask your vaccination status. If you are feeling sick-just let us know that you'll be missing a shift and stay home. Masking requirements have been dropped as of March 2023 but paper masks are still available for volunteers who wish to wear them.
