    Seeking Volunteer Director of Finance & Administration

    Volunteer Director of Finance & Administration

    The Grandparents Community Network (TGCN) is seeking an experienced Volunteer Director of Finance & Administration to help strengthen the financial infrastructure of our growing national nonprofit organization.

    This opportunity is ideal for a retired or former CEO, CFO, Finance Director, Controller, Accountant, Business Owner, or Executive Leader who wants to use their expertise to make a lasting impact for grandparents and kinship caregivers raising children.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Financial strategy and oversight
    • Budget development and forecasting
    • Financial reporting for leadership and the Board
    • Nonprofit compliance and internal controls
    • Grant and revenue tracking
    • Financial policy development
    • Guidance on organizational sustainability and growth
    • Support with Form 990 preparation and annual financial reviews

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Executive-level finance or business leadership experience
    • Strong accounting, bookkeeping, and financial management skills
    • Experience with nonprofit finances preferred
    • Comfortable with QuickBooks, Excel, technology, and AI tools
    • Strategic thinker with a builder's mindset
    • Passionate about helping families and communities

    Special Opportunity

    We recognize that great leaders build great teams. Candidates are welcome to recommend or recruit their own administrative support person, bookkeeper, or finance assistant if they know someone who would be a strong fit for the organization. Any recommended individual would be considered through TGCN's standard screening and onboarding process.

    This is a short-term volunteer leadership role 6-8 mos with the potential to transition into a paid position as you assist with funding and organizational capacity opportunities.
