    Works Closely With: Editors, Audio Engineers, Booking Agent, PromiseVoice, Content Team

    Mentor A Promise (MAP) is a New York City–based nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth experiencing housing instability through mentorship, education, and community. Through our podcast, we share stories, culture, and conversations that reflect the voices and experiences of our communities.

    About PromiseStudios | PromisePod

    PromisePod is MAP’s podcast division within PromiseStudios, focused on storytelling, culture, and community voice. The success of the podcast depends not only on content—but on consistent, organized, and high-quality publishing and operations.

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a Podcast Operations & Publishing Coordinator to manage the backend operations of podcast production, including publishing, distribution, and administrative support.

    This role ensures that episodes move smoothly from final edit to public release, with accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.

    This is a detail-driven operations role that keeps the podcast running reliably.

    Key Responsibilities

    Episode Publishing & Distribution

    • Upload and publish podcast episodes across platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc.)
    • Ensure correct titles, descriptions, tags, and metadata
    • Maintain consistency in publishing schedules

    Content Management

    • Organize episode files, descriptions, and assets
    • Maintain a structured library of podcast content
    • Ensure all materials are complete and ready for release

    Show Notes & Metadata Support

    • Draft or format episode descriptions and show notes
    • Ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with messaging
    • Support SEO-friendly formatting where applicable

    Production Coordination Support

    • Track episode progress from recording to publishing
    • Coordinate with editors, producers, and team members
    • Ensure deadlines and release timelines are met

    Platform & System Management

    • Manage podcast hosting platforms and distribution tools
    • Monitor episode uploads and resolve basic issues
    • Maintain organized workflows for publishing

    Cross-Team Collaboration

    • Work with PromiseVoice for messaging alignment
    • Coordinate with marketing teams for episode promotion
    • Support integration with broader content strategy

    Communication & Responsiveness

    • Maintain timely, professional communication via Google Workspace
    • Coordinate across podcast and content teams

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
    • Ability to manage structured workflows and timelines
    • Strong written communication skills
    • Reliability and consistency
    • Alignment with MAP’s mission and dignity-centered values

    Preferred

    • Experience with podcast platforms (Spotify for Podcasters, Anchor, etc.)
    • Experience with content publishing or digital media
    • Familiarity with metadata, formatting, or SEO basics
    • Interest in podcasting, storytelling, or media production

    Commitment

    • Volunteer role
    • Approximately 5–10 hours per week
    • Minimum 6-month commitment required
    • Fully remote
