When you give your time as a volunteer with St. Croix Hospice, you join a team of individuals dedicated to providing patient-centered care and comfort during advanced-stage illnesses. Hospice volunteers offer companionship, compassionate help and support for patients and their loved ones when they need it most. Volunteers provide an empathic, respectful, and caring presence for patients and their loved ones.
We are actively looking for in-person companionship volunteers to help provide social support to patients. Companionship volunteers will travel to the patient's primary residence and provide ongoing social support by visiting, playing games, reading together, etc. We also offer a vet-to-vet companionship program. Companionship volunteers are a vital part of the care team.
