Help Build a Better Digital Experience for Youth & Families

    About The Knowledge Exchange (TKE)

The Knowledge Exchange (TKE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to holistic, evidence-based education and enrichment. Through tutoring, social-emotional learning programs, immersive Dungeons & Dragons experiences, internships, and community workshops, we help youth build confidence, creativity, critical thinking, and belonging.

We are seeking a mission-driven UX/UI Designer and/or WordPress Developer to help modernize our digital presence through a high-impact website redesign project.

This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to:

    • Support educational equity and community-based learning
    • Build a meaningful nonprofit portfolio piece
    • Apply conversion-focused UX strategy to a real-world mission
    • Help a growing organization strengthen accessibility and outreach

This project is currently structured as a volunteer, pro-bono, or heavily discounted collaboration depending on availability and scope.

    Project Goals

We currently have a large, content-heavy site structure that needs to be strategically streamlined into a clean, high-performing 4–5 page website focused on clarity, accessibility, and engagement.

    Key priorities include:

    Conversion-Focused UX

    • Improve pathways for tutoring enrollment, program participation, and donations
    • Optimize calls-to-action and user flow
    • Integrate donation tools such as Qgiv
    • Mobile-First & Accessible Design
    • Create an intuitive experience for families accessing resources on mobile devices
    • Ensure strong accessibility practice.

    Google Ad Grant Readiness

    • Support site speed, navigation clarity, SEO structure, and technical health
    • Help maintain eligibility for Google Ad Grant advertising support

    • UX/UI design
    • Mobile-responsive web design
    • Accessibility best practices
    • Conversion-focused design thinking
