    Description

Community Advisory Board Member - UCSF Alliance Health Project

The UCSF Alliance Health Project (AHP) is currently recruiting for new Community Advisory Board members! We warmly invite participation, especially from members of the LGBTQ+ and HIV communities, those with lived experiences with receiving mental health services, and folks with backgrounds in fundraising and development.

What are the roles of a CAB member?

    • Serve as an ambassador for AHP in community and agency events/programs
    • Attend and actively engage at CAB general meetings (6x/year), and an annual four-hour CAB retreat
    • Offer consultation and advice on community issues relevant to AHP programs
    • Ensure community representation in the recruitment of new members
    • Actively engage in fundraising activities to support the organizational health of AHP

Please scroll down on AHP’s Our Team webpage to learn about our most recent CAB Members. AHP is celebrating the 30th Anniversary of our annual flagship fundraiser, Art for AIDS, in 2026 and we are also enthusiastic participants in AIDS Walk! AHP depends on CAB members to contribute to the success of these events and more.

Our agency provides mental health, substance use disorder, and sexual health services to persons living with HIV/AIDS, as well as members of the LGBTQ community living. AHP also provides trainings for health care professionals and volunteers throughout California. Since AHP’s founding in 1984, AHP has served thousands of clients, counselors and clinicians, justifying its reputation as one of the leading HIV and LGBTQ mental health agencies in San Francisco.

Please reach out to the AHP CAB Exec Team by July 1 if you are interested in becoming a CAB member!
