Death Doulas Support Needed! - Suncrest Hospice (Concord, CA)

Suncrest Hospice is in search of compassionate, professional Death Doulas! We are looking for individuals who want to be part of a support system for our patients and their families as they transition into end-of-life. By providing emotional, spiritual, mental, or physical support, Death Doulas help many with the final transition within life through a variety of ways. Join the Suncrest Hospice team to begin providing a unique aspect of comfort and support for many within the community.

The philosophy of hospice care is to provide comfort and the highest quality of life that one can achieve at the end of life. Through an interdisciplinary team including a nurse, nurse assistant, social worker, chaplain, and volunteer, we help the patient and family walk through their journey.

Suncrest Hospice is looking for volunteers to join the Suncrest Team as we provide excellent care and support to our hospice patients and their families in their homes! We serve families in Alameda, San Francisco, San Mateo, Contra Costa, Sonoma, Marin, and many other Bay Area counties.

All of our volunteers are trained to provide companionship, but we are looking for volunteers who are willing to become Death Doulas to families and the entire Suncrest Community. As volunteers are trained in their role with patients, we are required to conduct background checks, drug testing, and TB testing, at no charge to all volunteers.

We are especially looking for volunteers willing to serve patients and families in and around Walnut Creek.
