CommunityHealth is a free health clinic serving the low-income, uninsured.
At CommunityHealth, we rely on generous volunteer interpreters to make sure our Polish-speaking patients have the opportunity to communicate fully and openly with their care providers, and that our providers can provide the full quality of care regardless of language barriers.
Polish interpreters should be fluent in both Polish and English, and will have the unique opportunity to assist medical providers and patients in the exam room, for a variety of appointment types, including primary care, dental, and over 20 specialties.
Volunteers commit to at least two four-hour shifts per month for at least one year, with the option to do more. Training is provided, along with resources for learning medical vocabulary, but fluency is a must!
