    Compliance Specialist

    About the Role

    As a Compliance Specialist, you help protect and strengthen Restoring Our Youth Organization’s (ROYO) integrity by ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies. Working with leaders and volunteers across departments, you’ll identify risks, uphold standards, and promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and ethical practice.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Monitor and assess compliance across all programs and activities.
    • Develop, update, and enforce internal policies and procedures.
    • Conduct routine audits and report findings to leadership.
    • Support departments in resolving noncompliance issues and creating improvement plans.
    • Review communications and materials for compliance alignment.
    • Respond to compliance related questions and concerns with fairness and discretion.
    • Partner with leaders and training team to facilitate training and promote awareness of compliance practices.

    What You Bring to the Role

    • Experience navigating Google Suite as it pertaining to compliance (would be a plus)
    • Commitment to ROYO’s mission, vision, and core values.
    • Bachelor’s degree or related field; 1+ years of relevant experience.
    • Strong communication, organization, and research abilities.
    • Confidential, detail-oriented, and dependable.
    • Proficient in Google Suite and open to learning new tools.
    • Adaptable, collaborative, and self-motivated
    • Comfortable working with diverse teams and sensitive information.
