Volunteers are crucial to our shelter's operations, especially for behind-the-scenes tasks. This includes dishwashing, laundry assistance, and cleaning duties, all of which are essential for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for our furry residents.
Keeping our shelter clean directly impacts the health and well-being of our animals. The cleaner the environment, the healthier they can stay.
We offer flexible shifts every day of the week, from 9 am to 6 pm. Anyone aged 10 and above is welcome to volunteer. For volunteers under 15, participation alongside a parent or guardian, aged 18 or older, is required.
For younger volunteers, aged 10 to 11, opportunities are primarily focused on cat handling after training, while those aged 12 and older can handle both dogs and cats.
To get started, you'll need to create a volunteer account and complete a few initial steps. There's a $15 volunteer fee per person to cover the initial costs of onboarding new volunteers. Once these steps are completed, you'll be eligible to sign up for an Orientation session, where you'll receive further training and information.
