Our work includes educational scholarships, mobile health clinics, school assistance, and community-centered initiatives. We are building our capacity to reach more children, strengthen partnerships, and expand our impact.

    Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, mission-driven marketing professional to serve as our volunteer Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). The CMO will lead our marketing strategy, strengthen our public presence, and help communicate the impact of our programs to donors, corporate partners, foundations, volunteers, and the broader community.

This is a strategic leadership position for someone who wants to apply their professional expertise to a meaningful cause. The CMO will collaborate with the executive leadership team and help build a sustainable marketing function aligned with the foundation's mission and fundraising priorities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strengthen the foundation's brand identity, positioning, and public visibility.
    • Oversee digital marketing, social media, website content, and email communications.
    • Develop compelling impact stories and campaigns that engage donors and supporters.
    • Support fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and corporate partnership development through marketing initiatives.
    • Establish marketing objectives, performance indicators, and reporting processes.
    • Identify opportunities for media outreach, strategic partnerships, and community engagement.
    • Recruit, coordinate, and mentor marketing volunteers as the function grows.
    • Collaborate with the executive team to ensure consistent messaging and measurable results.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, brand strategy, digital marketing, or a related leadership role.
    • Strong strategic planning, writing, communication, and project management skills.
    • Experience developing or managing marketing campaigns and measuring their effectiveness.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a distributed, mission-driven team.
    • Commitment to ethical storytelling, responsible use of donor resources, and the foundation's mission.
    • Nonprofit, healthcare, education, international development, fundraising, or corporate social responsibility experience is desirable but not required.

    Time Commitment and Structure

    • Position type: Volunteer, unpaid.
    • Location: Remote.
    • Expected commitment: Approximately 4–6 hours per week, subject to mutual agreement.
    • Initial term: Two years, subject to agreement and organizational governance.
    • Reporting: Reports to the Chief Development Officer and collaborates with the CEO and executive leadership team.

This is an unpaid volunteer position. Future paid opportunities are not guaranteed and would depend on funding, organizational needs, and appropriate approval.

    What You Will Gain

    • The opportunity to shape the marketing direction of a growing nonprofit.
    • Meaningful executive leadership experience in a mission-driven organization.
    • The opportunity to build a marketing team and establish measurable, sustainable processes.
    • The chance to use your professional skills to help expand educational and healthcare opportunities for children in Haiti.
