    Description

    Volunteers in this opportunity will support both dog and cat owners who are in hospice or palliative care by transporting their pets to veterinary and groomer appointments, delivering food and medicine for the pets, visiting the pets to help with litter box maintenance or exercising the dogs, and providing administrative support.

    Volunteer should be comfortable with dogs and/or cats, have the ability to transport the pet, be physically able to walk a dog, or pick up and carry a pet.

    Volunteers will be servicing pet owners who are receiving hospice and palliative care services from Hospice of the Western Reserve. You are ensuring that the patients are able to stay united with their pets throughout their illness and helping to relieve their suffering and improve their quality of life by providing support to them, their pets, and their families.
