    Administrative Support Volunteer

    Make an Impact Behind the Scenes

    Help create exceptional experiences for Special Olympics athletes and volunteers by providing valuable administrative support to our team. This flexible, virtual volunteer opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys organization, attention to detail, and supporting meaningful work behind the scenes.

    Position Summary

    The Administrative Support Volunteer assists staff and the Volunteer Team Lead with a variety of administrative tasks that help ensure programs run smoothly. By keeping records organized, supporting financial processes, and maintaining accurate data, this volunteer plays an important role in supporting athletes, volunteers, and local programs across the state.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Assist with processing volunteer reimbursement requests.
    • Help track and document program budget expenditures.
    • Support athlete and volunteer registration within the online registration portal.
    • Maintain and update sports participation trackers and other program records.
    • Assist with data entry and record management.
    • Complete other administrative tasks as assigned to support program operations.

    We're looking for someone who:

    • Is organized and detail-oriented.
    • Is comfortable using computers and learning new online systems.
    • Has experience with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (preferred).
    • Can manage confidential information professionally.
    • Communicates effectively and follows through on assigned tasks.
    • Enjoys supporting a mission-driven organization.

    Time Commitment

    • Approximately 3–5 hours per week, based on volunteer availability.
    • Flexible scheduling during regular business hours.
    • Ongoing volunteer opportunity.

    Location: Virtual/Remote

    Most responsibilities can be completed remotely using a computer and internet connection.

    Training & Support

    Training will be provided on all required systems and processes. Volunteers will receive ongoing support from staff and the Volunteer Team Lead.
