Description
We’re looking for a creative, thoughtful Marketing Volunteer to help us better show the impact of our work—not just talk about it.
This role is ideal for someone who understands how to translate real-life impact into meaningful, engaging content that builds trust, awareness, and long-term community support.
What You’ll Do
- Capture and share the story of our work through content (social media, short-form video, written posts, etc.)
- Help shift our messaging from informational → experiential (showing real moments, environments, and impact)
- Develop and launch a podcast featuring:
- Participant journeys (with appropriate consent and boundaries)
- Founder stories
- Conversations around mental health, growth, and community care
- Create and support merchandise ideas that generate revenue and increase brand visibility
- Maintain a consistent and authentic voice across platforms
- Draw inspiration from accounts like Homeboy Industries and New Emerging King—balancing clarity of mission with compelling storytelling
What We’re Looking For
- Creative thinker with a strong eye for storytelling and brand voice
- Comfortable with content creation (video, captions, light design, or audio)
- Someone who understands that how we show up matters as much as what we say
- Ability to take initiative and bring new ideas (not just execute tasks)
- Sensitivity to working with vulnerable populations
Privacy & Ethics (Non-Negotiable)
- No photos or videos of participants (youth or adults) without explicit, documented consent
- Strong awareness of dignity-centered storytelling (no exploitation, no “poverty marketing”)
- Ability to creatively show impact without compromising safety or privacy (environment shots, voiceovers, anonymized stories, etc.)
Why This Matters
Our work is meaningful—but many people will never engage, donate, or refer others if they don’t clearly understand what we do or feel connected to it. This role helps bridge that gap.
